Gutter Cleaning Bondi | Packed Sand, Salt Silt & Blocked Downpipes

Bondi gutters get a mix that’s unusual for Sydney — comparatively little leaf, because the exposed streets don’t hold big canopy trees, but a heavy load of wind-blown sand, salt and grit that packs into the base and sets hard. It behaves nothing like leaf litter. It doesn’t decompose and blow clear, it consolidates, and once it’s compacted it holds water against the back of the gutter and the fascia behind it. On the older brick blocks and semis that means rot and rust show up long before anyone thinks the gutters need doing.

What’s included

Compacted sand and silt removed properly rather than skimmed, downpipes checked and flushed because sand blocks them from the bottom up, valleys cleared, and gutter interiors flushed so we’re not leaving the abrasive layer behind. Everything bagged and taken away.

On terraces and semis with shared or box gutters we’ll tell you plainly if the neighbouring side is the actual problem — plenty of Bondi overflow issues sit on the other side of a party wall, and cleaning your half won’t fix it.

We photograph rust, seam failure and any rot in the fascia and send it through. We don’t do the repairs.
