The apartment buildings along Darling Point Road and the waterfront are our most common call: facade washing where access allows, entry forecourts and lobbies, common driveways and basement ramps, balcony fronts and glass. Harbour-facing buildings carry a constant salt film on render, glass and balustrades — the reason a building’s water side always looks older than its street side. Heritage estates and garden walls
The surviving Victorian houses bring original sandstone — garden walls, gateposts, steps and terraces — plus slate roofs and painted heritage detail. All of it is chemistry-first, low-pressure work; none of it should ever meet a wand at full force. Sealing sandstone after cleaning is particularly worthwhile this close to the harbour.
Salt, shade and figs
The peninsula’s big Moreton Bay figs shade the older streets and feed algae on paths and steps, while the harbour supplies the salt. Most properties benefit from a wash roughly annually, with paths and entries treated as the algae dictates.
Access is tight on the point — narrow frontages, basement parking, security gates. We coordinate with building managers, concierges and household staff as a matter of course.
