Yes. We work from ladders with stand-offs or the roof itself with harnesses depending on access, and we are insured for height work.
How often should gutters be cleaned in Sydney?
Twice a year for homes under trees, once a year for open blocks — and always before bushfire season.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes, all leaf litter and sludge is bagged and removed.

Frequently asked questions
How often should gutters be cleaned in Sydney?
Twice a year suits most Sydney homes, ideally late autumn and again before summer storm season. Properties under gums, jacarandas or paperbarks usually need quarterly attention, because those species drop leaf litter and bark year round rather than in one clean seasonal burst.
What actually happens if gutters are left blocked?
Water backs up over the fascia and into the eaves, which rots timber, rusts the gutter from the inside and can push moisture into wall cavities. Standing water also breeds mosquitoes, and packed dry leaf litter is an ember catcher if you are in a bushfire prone area.
Do you clear the downpipes as well?
Yes. Clearing the gutter but leaving a choked downpipe just moves the blockage. We check flow through each downpipe and clear what we can reach. If a pipe is blocked underground below the outlet, we will tell you what we found rather than guess at it.
How do you clean gutters, by hand or by vacuum?
Both, depending on the roof. Hand clearing from a ladder is faster and more thorough on accessible single storey runs, while a gutter vacuum is better for steep, fragile or high roofs where staying off the tiles is safer for the roof and for us.
Will there be debris left over the garden and roof?
No. Debris is bagged and taken away, and the roof and paths are rinsed down before we leave. You should not be finding piles of wet sludge in the garden beds or a stained driveway after a gutter clean.
Do you need my water and power?
Usually just an outside tap for the final rinse. Let us know in advance if the tap is not working or the property is vacant with services disconnected, and we will bring what we need instead.
Can you do a two storey or steep pitch roof?
Yes. Two storey work is standard for us and is done with the right height access rather than an overreached ladder. Very steep or fragile roofs may be done from a vacuum system at ground level or with roof anchors, which we will confirm when we quote.
I have gutter guard. Do I still need cleaning?
Guards cut the frequency down a lot but do not remove the need entirely. Fine grit, seed and broken down leaf matter still settle through and build a silt layer, and the top of the guard itself collects debris that needs sweeping off so water can get in.
