Will pressure washing damage my sandstone or render?

Sandstone, render and aged concrete all need different treatment, so we match the method to the surface rather than blasting everything the same way. We identify what you have, test an inconspicuous area first, and tell you honestly what can and can't be restored.

What happens on the day of the clean?

Growth is pre-treated so it's killed at the root rather than blasted off the top. Planting, lighting and pool areas are covered before we start, and runoff is controlled on sloped blocks.

How do I know the job has been done properly?

We finish every job with a walkthrough — we walk the property with you and address anything you're not happy with on the spot. Nothing is signed off until you've seen every surface yourself, and you receive a photo report on every job.

Roof restoration Sydney: deep clean, tile repairs, ridge repointing and membrane recoating that add years to a tired tile or metal roof — for a fraction of replacement cost.

A tired roof rarely needs replacing. Most tile and metal roofs in Sydney that look at the end of their life are structurally sound underneath — what’s failed is the surface: lichen and moss growth, eroded glaze or chalked paint, cracked pointing along the ridges and the odd broken tile. Restoration addresses exactly those things, at a fraction of what a re-roof costs.

What a proper restoration involves

Clean first. Every restoration starts with a full roof clean — moss, lichen and grime removed with the method matched to the roof type. Terracotta and concrete tiles are treated and washed without the aggressive pressure that erodes their surface; metal roofs are washed and degreased ready for coating.

Repair second. Broken and cracked tiles replaced, ridge capping rebedded and repointed with flexible pointing, valleys cleared and checked, rusted fixings on metal roofs replaced. This is the step cheap operators skip — and it’s why their coatings peel in two summers.

Coat last. Primer and two coats of membrane in your chosen colour on tiles, or a full repaint system on metal. The coating seals the porous surface that growth was feeding on, which is why a restored roof stays clean so much longer than a roof that was only washed.

When restoration is the wrong answer

We’ll tell you straight. Glazed terracotta in good condition should never be coated — it only needs cleaning. A roof with widespread structural problems needs a roofer, not a coating. And a roof with five years of grime but sound surfaces usually just needs our roof cleaning service, not the full program. The assessment is free and the quote is fixed either way.

Spring is the crunch — September is the busiest month of the year for roof work in Sydney as homeowners prepare for summer and sale campaigns.
