The housing stock

Clovelly is dominated by interwar semis and freestanding brick homes, many renovated, most with painted or rendered fronts, tiled roofs and concrete paths and driveways. Painted brick and render are soft-wash surfaces only — high pressure strips paint and blows out render patches. We wash the full exterior at low pressure with a mould-killing solution, then rinse.

The bay itself is ringed with concrete, and so are the houses — paths, driveways, side passages and backyard slabs. Shaded south-side passages between semis are the classic Clovelly problem spot: they never dry out, black algae takes hold, and they get genuinely slippery. Pressure cleaning with a pre-treatment sorts both the appearance and the slip hazard.
