Sandstone Cleaning Palm Beach | Terraced Walls, Steps & Salt Bloom

Palm Beach runs on sandstone. The steep blocks are terraced with it, the entries step down through it, and a good number of the older houses sit on sandstone footings and garden walls that predate the current homes by decades. On this stretch it takes salt as well as shade, so you get two problems layered on one surface — black biological staining in the damp returns, and white efflorescence where salt has migrated out through the stone.

What’s included

Growth killed chemically and rinsed at low pressure, salt efflorescence drawn out rather than trapped under a sealer, mortar joints protected because they’re softer than the stone around them, and pool copings and step treads given extra attention where slip risk sits. Terraced walls get worked top-down so runoff doesn’t restain what’s already done.

We won’t blast it. Sandstone is soft and porous, and once the weathered outer skin is stripped the stone drinks water and the staining returns faster and darker. That damage doesn’t come back — which is the whole reason we’re slow about it.
