A test patch sets pressure and temperature. Stains are treated individually: degreaser for oil, oxalic-based remover for rust, hypochlorite for tannin and biological growth. Coloured and stencilled concrete gets lower pressure and no acidic chemistry, which would strip the pigment and release coat.
