Travertine Sealing questions answered

Algae lives in the pits and under a thin biofilm that pressure washing does not kill. A biocide clean removes it at the root and a penetrating sealer keeps water out of the pits so it struggles to return.
Filled travertine is easier to keep clean and better for bare feet; unfilled looks more natural. Both can be sealed. We fill on request with a colour-matched grout and it cures before sealing.
A quality penetrating sealer rated for pool surrounds does, for three to five years. Topical gloss sealers do not and we do not use them beside pools.
Yes. Removing the biofilm is most of it. If a pendulum slip test is needed for a strata or commercial pool, we arrange it and can apply an anti-slip treatment on a return visit.
On request, as one fixed written figure covering clean, optional filling and seal. Call The Prestige Standard on 0494 810 609 or use the quote form.
