Q: Will cleaning remove the sand from my joints?

Some sand always lifts during cleaning, which is why re-sanding is included. We sweep in new sand once the pavers are dry.

Q: What is polymeric sand?

Jointing sand with a binder that sets firm when misted. It resists wash-out and weeds far better than plain sand.

Q: Can you remove efflorescence?

Yes. The white salt bloom on clay and concrete pavers is treated with a mild acid wash and rinsed.

Q: Should pavers be sealed?

Around pools, barbecues and entertaining areas, yes. Sealing keeps stains out and makes the next clean faster. Elsewhere it is optional.

How we clean it, and how we protect everything around it

Joints are cleared, the surface is cleaned with a rotary surface cleaner set for the paver type, efflorescence is treated with a mild acid where needed, then the surface dries before sand is swept in and compacted. Polymeric sand is misted to set.
